Maebashi Witches

Set against the backdrop of Maebashi City in Gunma Prefecture, the story follows Yuina Akagi, a first-year high school student whose days have settled into an unremarkable routine. Her perfectly ordinary life is abruptly upended by the sudden appearance of a mysterious frog named Keroppe. Rather than behaving like any normal creature, Keroppe poses an extraordinary question that challenges everything Yuina thought she knew about her future: he asks her why she does not simply become a witch. This unexpected encounter sets Yuina on a path far removed from her mundane existence. Inspired by the strange amphibian’s proposition, she joins forces with four other girls—Azu Niisato, Kyouka Kitahara, Choco Mitsumata, and Mai Kamiizumi. Together, they form a unique group known as the Maebashi Witches. Bound by shared enthusiasm and a newfound sense of purpose, these young women embrace their magical roles with excitement. Their collective mission extends beyond personal adventure; as the Maebashi Witches, Yuina and her friends dedicate themselves to the heartfelt goal of making other people’s dreams come true, transforming their quiet city into a place where aspirations can finally take flight.
