Tonbo! Season 2

Following her middle school graduation, Tonbo Ooi leaves the remote island of Tokara and travels to Kumamoto with a singular ambition: to elevate her golf career. Her mentor, Kazuyoshi Igarashi, leverages his personal connections to secure her a place under the guidance of coach Hajime Udou. However, Tonbo’s transition is far from seamless. Accustomed to an unconventional playstyle developed in isolation, she initially struggles to demonstrate her potential, particularly when required to adapt to a wider variety of golf clubs. Despite these early hurdles, Tonbo quickly silences any doubts during her course debut. By relying on the distinctive skills she honed on her home island, she delivers a remarkable performance that captures the attention of Coach Udou and everyone else watching. This impressive display earns her the opportunity to compete in the prestigious Kyushu Women's Championship. Stepping onto a much larger stage, Tonbo finds herself surrounded by familiar faces as well as formidable new rivals. The championship serves as her true proving ground, pushing her to refine her raw talent against seasoned competitors. Driven by an unwavering resolve, she sets her sights on navigating the complexities of competitive play, determined to carve out her place in the professional world of golf.
