Tulip-chan

Created as the graduation project of Saki Watanabe at the Tohoku University of Art and Design in 2024, *Tulip-chan* introduces audiences to a delightfully eccentric fifth-grade elementary school student. The narrative centers on the titular protagonist, a young girl whose vibrant imagination sets her apart from her peers as she navigates her final year of primary school. Driven by a wonderfully peculiar and endearing aspiration, Tulip-chan harbors a grand vision for her distant future: she earnestly dreams of living a long, fulfilling life so that one day, her future grandchild can be right by her side to celebrate her landmark sixtieth birthday. This whimsical yet heartfelt ambition shapes her unique perspective on the world around her, blending childhood innocence with a comically premature longing for the joys of old age.
