In the year 11954, YoRHa soldiers 2B and 9S are newly dispatched to Earth to execute and support the 243rd Descent Operation. During their mission, they successfully destroy Adam and Eve, the core units commanding the machine lifeforms. Seizing this critical advantage following the annihilation of these primary enemies, the Army of Humanity launches an all-out offensive against the remaining machines in a decisive effort to end the long-lasting war once and for all. As the conflict intensifies across the ruined planet, Unit 2B and her fellow androids begin to question their true purpose in the ongoing struggle. Reclaiming Earth from the machine lifeforms will inevitably demand immense sacrifice, forcing the combat units to confront difficult realities about their existence.
