Ane Log: Moyako Neesan no Tomaranai Monologue

Years ago, a young Akira innocently told his older sister, Konoe Moyako, that he wanted to marry her someday. While most siblings would dismiss such childhood remarks as fleeting affection, Moyako took the declaration to heart in the worst possible way. She immediately concluded that her younger brother harbored an unhealthy and obsessive infatuation with her, branding him a complete pervert in her mind from that day forward. Now that both siblings have grown into teenagers, Moyako remains entirely consumed by this long-held delusion. Driven by a misguided sense of sisterly duty, she has made it her personal mission to rehabilitate Akira and cure him of his supposed deviant desires. She constantly monitors his behavior, searching for any hidden meaning behind his everyday actions. The central irony of their dynamic, however, is that Akira’s alleged perversion exists solely within Moyako’s overactive imagination. He is, in reality, a perfectly normal teenager with no inappropriate intentions toward his sister. Yet Moyako cannot help herself; she consistently twists the most innocent and mundane situations into something deeply unsettling through her relentless internal monologue. Her inability to see reality clearly transforms ordinary sibling interactions into a one-sided comedy of errors, all fueled by a misunderstanding that began years ago and refuses to end.
