My Oni Girl

Hiiragi is a first-year high school student whose deepest desire is simply to be liked by those around him. Driven by an overwhelming fear of rejection, he has developed a habit of never refusing a favor, no matter how demanding or inconvenient it might be. This constant need for approval leaves him exhausted and unable to assert his own boundaries, as he continually sacrifices his time and energy to meet the expectations of others. During one particular summer day, while struggling to complete yet another task assigned to him, Hiiragi’s life takes an unexpected turn when he crosses paths with Tsumugi. She is an oni girl who has traveled from her realm into the human world on a deeply personal mission to find her missing mother. Unlike Hiiragi, Tsumugi lives entirely on her own terms, acting freely without concern for the opinions of others. Her bold and unapologetic nature stands in stark contrast to his timid, people-pleasing disposition. As these two opposites are drawn together under bizarre circumstances—marked by the mysterious arrival of falling snow in the middle of summer—they embark on a remarkable journey. What begins as a chance encounter soon transforms into a shared adventure that challenges everything Hiiragi thought he knew about himself.
