Honkai: Star Rail - Rondo Across Countless Kalpas

Twin planets shared a tragic fate, locked in an eternal orbit around a pitch-black sun. On one world, humanity named the earth below Izumo and the sky above Takamagahara. Without warning, the Yaoyorozu-no-kami—demonic beasts masquerading as gods—descended from the heavens not to conquer, but solely to annihilate. Facing extinction, Izumo marshaled its entire strength to slay the calamity known as the Sovereign of Revelation, forging the first Edict Edge from its remains. By reciting the mantras sealed within these blades, warriors could wield the very divine power of their invaders. Through unimaginable sacrifice and shattered mortal weapons, they forged twelve Sentinels, transforming their primitive world into a dazzling neon civilization in less than ten Amber Eras. Yet just as the distant realm of Takamagahara finally fell within reach, history abruptly ceased. Both planets evaporated into nothingness, leaving only scattered whispers across the cosmos. Scholars endlessly debate this vanishing—whether it was erased by reverse causation, fabricated entirely, or consumed as part of some horrifying experiment or cosmic hunger. Only the silent black sun knows the truth, for under its shadow, the universe is trapped in eternal recurrence. Everything that ends is destined to begin again, rendering Izumo’s entire existence nothing more than a fleeting footnote in an endless ellipsis.
