Yobi and Amari: Story of Spares

Within the confines of a magnificent tabletop stage, no larger than the palm of a hand, fifty-four playing cards come to life as dedicated performers. Night after night, this talented ensemble entertains eager audiences, transforming every game into a dazzling spectacle. Yet behind the glamour of their nightly shows lies a quiet frustration shared by two overlooked members of the troupe. Yobi and Amari are blank spare cards, perpetually relegated to the shadows backstage. While their peers bask in the spotlight, these two understudies are forced into endless rehearsals, waiting for an opportunity to perform that never seems to arrive. Bound by their duty to remain ready as emergency replacements, Yobi and Amari struggle with the disappointment of never having stepped onto the stage even once. Their monotonous routine of preparation without purpose tests their patience and resolve. However, the delicate balance of their hidden world is abruptly shattered when an unforeseen accident strikes the company. A sudden fire engulfs the theater, tragically destroying Jack the Diamond. This devastating event thrusts the forgotten spares into a critical moment, forever altering the fate of the deck and presenting the very challenge they have endlessly trained to face.
