Cong Hong Yue Kaishi

Adapted from the novel of the same name by Heishan Laogui, Starting from Red Moon unfolds in a world forever altered by a catastrophic celestial anomaly. When a blood-red moon suddenly appears in the sky—an event recorded in history as the Red Moon Incident—humanity is pushed to the brink of extinction. The few remaining survivors are forced to seek refuge within fortified cities shielded by towering high walls, isolating themselves from the devastated world outside. However, the walls cannot protect humanity from every threat. Among the survivors, some individuals develop severe mental mutations. Those unable to control these alterations emit a dangerous psychic plague and radiation that contaminates ordinary people, posing an existential threat to the fragile remnants of civilization. To combat this internal crisis, the High Wall City establishes a specialized pollution cleanup department tasked with identifying and neutralizing the source of the contamination. This elite division recruits only those rare individuals capable of harnessing and controlling spiritual energy. Amidst this desperate struggle for survival, the protagonist, Lu Xin, steps forward to apply for a position within this perilous department, ready to confront the most dangerous threats facing humanity.
