Onmyoji

In the flourishing ancient capital of Kyoto, human emotions such as longing, obsession, and unbridled desire frequently spiral beyond control, transforming ordinary people into terrifying demons. Seeking answers to the supernatural disturbances plaguing the city, Minamoto Hiromasa—a court musician and grandson of Emperor Daigo—visits the residence of the imperial yin-yang diviners. There, he encounters Abe no Seimei, a legendary onmyoji shrouded in an otherworldly aura. Although Seimei initially displays a profound indifference toward worldly affairs and hesitates to intervene, Hiromasa ultimately persuades him to confront the malevolent spirits responsible for the chaos. Their investigation soon reveals that the rogue onmyoji Ashiya Doman is orchestrating the demonic unrest from the shadows. To combat this growing threat, Seimei and Hiromasa assemble an unlikely alliance, joined by Hiromasa’s flute instructor Imperial Prince Atsumi, the emperor’s personal diviner Kamo Yasunori, and Lady Tsuyuko, who becomes entangled in their mission through a specific incident. As the group's fates intertwine like delicate threads, these mismatched companions must navigate their shared destiny. Together, they face a harrowing trial to determine whether they can purge the darkness and restore lasting peace to the capital.
