In 1956, the remote settlement of Nagura Village operates under the hidden dominion of the Ryuga family, a powerful dynasty whose influence extends deep into Japan’s political and financial elite. Beneath the village's quiet exterior lies a web of control, setting the stage for a dark and unfolding mystery. Into this tense environment arrives Mizuki, an employee of the Imperial Blood Bank who uses the recent passing of the family patriarch as a cover to enter the village. His visit is far from a simple gesture of mourning; he carries personal ambitions and a covert mission that threaten to disrupt the established order. Concurrently, Kitaro’s father makes his own journey into Nagura Village, driven by a desperate search for his missing wife. Their simultaneous arrivals set them on a collision course with the village's dangerous secrets. As these outsiders navigate the treacherous landscape of Nagura Village, the Ryuga family descends into internal chaos. A ruthless and vicious struggle over succession has erupted among its members, each vying for control of the family's vast power. Amidst this cutthroat battle for dominance, the intertwined fates of Mizuki, Kitaro’s father, and the fractured Ryuga clan propel the story toward its chilling origins.
