Komada - A Whisky Family

Koutarou, a novice editor working for a web news outlet, travels to the Komada Distillery to research a feature on Japanese craft whisky. The historic facility is now under the leadership of Rui, a young woman who has recently assumed the presidency of her family's business. Together with her dedicated team, she faces an ambitious and deeply personal challenge: recreating KOMA, the distillery's signature whisky that was forced out of production years ago. For Rui, this spirit represents far more than a beverage. It is a cherished legacy lovingly preserved by both her grandfather and father, standing as a symbol of happiness for everyone connected to the family. However, reviving the lost whisky proves to be a daunting endeavor. Beyond the severe lack of financial backing, crucial elements of the original recipe and production process have vanished over time, leaving frustrating gaps in their knowledge. Refusing to surrender the dream, Rui and Koutarou join forces with the distillery's loyal supporters to overcome these obstacles. Working tirelessly together, they trace every remaining clue and pull together every scattered thread of information, determined to resurrect the beloved whisky and restore the precious family memories it holds.
