Thirty-six Cavalry

Emperor Ming of the Han Dynasty entrusts Ban Chao, a member of the Shi family, with a sacred bronze swallow talisman and a monumental mission. The emperor commands him to journey into the vast Western Regions to locate a golden Buddha that appeared to him in a dream, as well as to uncover the elusive secret of immortality. To undertake this perilous expedition, Ban Chao carefully assembles a company of thirty-six exceptional individuals. His chosen companions include hidden masters residing within the capital, descendants of the Mo family, heirs of legendary pirates, and a Gu master from Yelang who travels alongside him. Yet Ban Chao’s ambitions extend far beyond fulfilling the emperor's decree. Beneath his loyalty to the throne lies a deeply personal quest driven by unresolved tragedy. As he leads his diverse cavalry across treacherous landscapes, he is determined to unearth the buried history of his own Shi lineage. More importantly, he seeks to identify the murderer who falsely accused his father, weaving a path of vengeance and truth through an ancient world of mysticism and political intrigue.
