Soukyuu no Fafner: BEHIND THE LINE

Kazuki, Kenji, Sakura, Canon, Soushi, and Maya have finally been granted the extraordinary opportunity to step away from their demanding roles as Fafner pilots. With their time in the cockpit coming to an end, the group begins attending specialized courses designed to help them explore potential career paths and determine what they wish to pursue in civilian life. For these young individuals, this transition represents a long-awaited chance to envision a future beyond warfare. However, embracing a peaceful existence proves far more challenging than any of them anticipated. Having dedicated so much of their youth to sheer survival, safeguarding their island home, and protecting their closest friends and family, the concept of a quiet, ordinary life feels entirely foreign. Accustomed to living with constant urgency and purpose driven by combat, they now face the daunting task of discovering who they are outside the battlefield. As they navigate this unfamiliar terrain, each must confront the profound difficulty of finding personal direction after years defined solely by duty and sacrifice.
