Watashi no Hashtag ga Haenakute.

Set within a futuristic "smart city" envisioned by Kyocera, this original net animation explores a society where personal expression has taken on a dazzling new form. In this technologically advanced urban landscape, residents communicate their identities and emotions through hashtags that are projected onto massive aerial displays hovering above the streets. These luminous digital markers serve as the primary way individuals present themselves to the world, turning the sky into a vibrant canvas of human thought and feeling. At the center of the story is Yume, a young woman who struggles deeply with self-confidence. Feeling invisible in a city defined by bold public declarations, she becomes determined to craft a unique and striking hashtag known as a "rare tag"—a special designation capable of truly standing out among the countless glowing messages filling the sky. Her quest for self-expression is both deeply personal and daunting, driven by a desire to finally be seen. Complicating her journey is Minoru, an older peer who appears to have effortlessly mastered this digital art form. Unlike Yume, Minoru already possesses multiple rare tags, serving as both an inspiration and a reminder of how far she still has to go. Through their dynamic, the narrative examines themes of insecurity, ambition, and the search for individuality in a hyper-connected world.
