Muv-Luv Alternative Season 2

With the combined efforts of Professor Yuuko Kouzuki’s advanced technology and Kasumi Yashiro’s psychic abilities, Cadet Takeru Shirogane successfully returns to his original world. Knowing that humanity’s survival hangs in the balance, he immediately seeks out this reality’s version of Yuuko to finalize Alternative IV, the ultimate defense initiative against the BETA—an extraterrestrial force relentlessly invading Earth. As the project nears completion, Takeru and his fellow cadets graduate from the Yokohama pilot training academy, preparing to deploy Tactical Surface Fighters, the massive combat mechs essential to humanity's resistance. However, disaster strikes during a field test of a new operating system for these war machines when the BETA launch a devastating ambush. Takeru barely survives the assault, but witnessing the brutal death of a close friend shatters his resolve. Stripped of his will to fight, he escapes back to the parallel world, only to encounter an eerily similar tragedy. Professor Yuuko explains that individuals across parallel universes are destined to share the same fate. Confronted with this inescapable truth, Takeru must conquer his deep psychological trauma if he hopes to protect those he loves most.
