Cyberpunk: Edgerunners

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is a standalone, ten-episode original net animation that follows the harrowing journey of a young street kid struggling to survive in a dystopian metropolis. Set in a futuristic city consumed by an obsession with advanced technology and extreme body modification, the narrative explores a harsh world where human life is frequently overshadowed by relentless mechanical enhancement. For this protagonist, navigating the unforgiving urban landscape means facing constant peril at every turn. With everything to lose and no safety net to fall back on, the young man is forced into a desperate bid for survival. Rather than succumb to the brutal pressures of his environment, he makes the dangerous choice to embrace a life outside the boundaries of the law. He transforms himself into an edgerunner—a highly skilled mercenary outlaw operating in the shadows of the sprawling city. In this hyper-connected yet deeply fractured society, these illicit operatives are more commonly known as cyberpunks. By stepping into this volatile role, he risks not only his humanity but his very existence, plunging headfirst into a treacherous underworld where survival demands sacrifice and the line between flesh and machine is constantly blurred.
