Kakegurui Twin

Mary Saotome arrives at the prestigious Hyakkaou Private Academy as a first-year student, fully convinced that her path to the upper echelons of the school's ruthless hierarchy is already secured. She views her future as an inevitable ascent to the top, confident in her own abilities and status. However, this carefully constructed certainty shatters when she crosses paths with a former classmate who has since been reduced to the academy's lowest caste: a housepet. This unexpected encounter drags the ambitious newcomer directly into the institution's high-stakes gambling underworld. Stripped of her naive confidence, Mary is forced to navigate a treacherous environment where fortunes are won and lost at the tables. As an otherwise ordinary girl thrust into extraordinary circumstances, she faces a daunting challenge—relying solely on her sharp intellect and sheer luck to forge genuine friendships while avoiding the crushing weight of debt. Serving as a prequel to the widely acclaimed Kakegurui series, this original net animation explores the formative trials that shape Mary Saotome before the events of the main story. It chronicles her struggle to survive and maintain her dignity within an academy where gambling dictates every aspect of social standing.
