500000000 years button

The premise of the 500 Million Year Button is as simple as it is terrifying. Pressing it instantly grants the user one million yen, but at a staggering cost: they must endure five hundred million years of isolation in an endless, empty void. However, the moment that incomprehensible eternity concludes, all memories of the experience are completely erased, returning the person to the exact instant they pressed the button. From their perspective, the reward appears instantaneously, making the unimaginable suffering technically nonexistent to the conscious mind. Five-year-old Tonio, fourteen-year-old Jaibi, and seventeen-year-old Suneko face a desperate reality. Their father is hospitalized, and the three siblings are entirely out of options to cover his mounting medical expenses. Driven to the edge by financial ruin, they find themselves confronted by a mysterious figure who presents them with this very button, forcing them to weigh the value of their father's life against an unfathomable sacrifice. This brand-new animated adaptation brings the cult-classic "500 Million Year Button" story to the screen, expanding upon the beloved narrative originally featured in the Minna no Tonio-chan series.
