Face on Lie

Yuxi has spent her life enduring harsh discrimination solely because of her appearance. Exhausted by the constant prejudice and desperate for a change, she visits a plastic surgery clinic to seek professional advice about altering her looks. It is there that she encounters Huantao, the clinic's strikingly handsome director, who presents her with an irresistible offer. With unwavering confidence, he promises her, "I'll make you beautiful," presenting a tempting proposal that speaks directly to her deepest insecurities. Believing she has finally discovered a shortcut to the happiness she has always been denied, Yuxi accepts his offer without hesitation. The prospect of erasing the source of her lifelong suffering feels like a dream come true, and she places her complete trust in Huantao's expertise. However, as she prepares to undergo this dramatic transformation, a profound question lingers beneath her hopeful anticipation. While physical beauty may shield her from the cruelty she has faced, it remains uncertain whether changing her face will truly grant her the genuine happiness she seeks, or if the cost of this new identity will bring unforeseen consequences.
