CITY HUNTER: FROM TODAY, CITY HUNTER

Kai Aoyama is a forty-year-old single woman whose life comes to an abrupt end when she is struck by a train. However, instead of facing death, she awakens to find herself inexplicably reborn as a high school student within the fictional universe of her all-time favorite manga, City Hunter. Thrust into a world she once only read about, Kai must quickly navigate the surreal reality of living inside the pages of a beloved story. Disoriented and entirely without direction in this unfamiliar yet recognizable setting, she makes her way to Shinjuku. Desperate for guidance, she approaches a specific message board and frantically scribbles the iconic letters "XYZ"—the legendary signal used to summon the city's most famous sweeper. This bold act sets her on a collision course with the very characters she has admired from afar. By writing those three letters, Kai initiates a chain of events that forever alters her destiny. Her unexpected arrival draws her into the orbit of Ryo, plunging her directly into the thrilling, dangerous lifestyle he leads. What follows is the beginning of a remarkable new chapter, as Kai embarks on a vibrant second life alongside Ryo within the action-packed world of City Hunter.
