My Dress-Up Darling

Wakana Gojou is a high school student whose life revolves around a single, consuming passion: the traditional craft of making Hina dolls. Because his dedication to this meticulous art form leaves him with little in common with his peers, he struggles to form meaningful friendships or even maintain casual conversations. Isolated by his niche obsession, Wakana spends his days quietly honing his skills without anyone to share them with or appreciate his work. His solitary routine takes an unexpected turn when Marin Kitagawa, the most popular girl at school, approaches him and reveals a closely guarded secret of her own. Rather than judging his unusual hobby, Marin recognizes the extraordinary potential in his precise craftsmanship. She introduces him to the vibrant world of cosplay, showing him that the sewing techniques he has perfected for traditional dolls can be brilliantly adapted to create elaborate costumes. Inspired by her enthusiasm and vision, Wakana discovers a renewed sense of purpose for his talents. United by their shared dedication to their respective passions, the unlikely pair forms a creative partnership. Together, they set out to bring Marin’s boldest cosplay dreams to life, transforming his quiet expertise into something entirely new and exciting.
