Disguised Desires

Once the cherished daughter of a prominent noble family, Hwi-yeon now bears the heavy stigma of a traitor’s child. To escape execution and survive in a world that has turned against her, she adopts the guise of a young man, retreating into obscurity to lead a quiet, unassuming life. For a time, her careful deception holds without incident, allowing her to exist safely on the fringes of society. However, her fragile peace shatters during an unexpected encounter with Prince Cheong-wun, the notoriously hedonistic royal of the Kingdom of Geumyul and the very man she was once promised to marry. When the prince begins to probe the boundaries of her disguise with unsettling interest, Hwi-yeon desperately attempts to deflect his advances, insisting she has no appetite for such indulgences. Yet Cheong-wun is far from deterred, revealing a dangerous fascination with the exact things she claims to despise. As buried feelings resurface and new threats loom, Hwi-yeon finds herself ensnared in a treacherous game of hidden identities and forbidden passion. With her life hanging in the balance, she must carefully navigate the prince’s seductive pursuit, knowing that a single misstep could expose her true self. Whether her carefully constructed facade will protect her or become her ultimate downfall remains to be seen.
