Oni no Hanayome wa Taberaretai

The story follows Mashiro, a young human girl whose life was once spared by the fearsome demon chieftain Shuten Douji. Bound by gratitude and an unwavering sense of devotion, she makes a startling vow: to offer herself as his ultimate sustenance. Upon reaching the age of seventeen, Mashiro formally enters into marriage with the powerful demon lord, fully believing that her role as his bride is merely a prelude to being consumed. She approaches this grim fate willingly, viewing it as the highest expression of her love and repayment for the life he saved. However, the reality of their union diverges sharply from Mashiro's expectations. Beneath his intimidating exterior, Shuten Douji harbors a profound and genuine affection for his human bride. Far from seeing her as a meal, he cherishes her deeply and has absolutely no intention of ever harming her. Yet, neither can bring themselves to articulate their true feelings clearly. Their mutual adoration becomes the very source of their conflict, trapping them in a poignant cycle of misunderstanding where each believes they are fulfilling the other's deepest desire.
