Light Catcher

"Light Catcher" is an initiative designed to champion original Chinese animation, targeting professional studios, independent creators, and passionate enthusiasts alike. Through its Capsules, Cosmoses, and Ores projects, the program actively seeks out exceptional works and talented teams, offering them a dedicated platform to showcase their creations. By providing these vital opportunities for exposure and support, the initiative aims to inspire a broader wave of skilled individuals to engage in animation production. The accompanying short film centers on a protagonist driven by a singular, relentless act: running forward. As the journey unfolds, the visual style continuously escalates in complexity and intensity, mirroring the mounting challenges the runner faces. Along the path, the protagonist encounters numerous setbacks, yet also finds crucial assistance from those nearby. This dynamic progression serves as a powerful metaphor for the development of a novice animator. It reflects the arduous process of continuous self-education, the inevitable obstacles encountered along the way, and the indispensable reliance on a supportive community. Ultimately, this sustained effort and collective encouragement culminate in the creator's final work being revealed to the world.
