Kakeru Miwa appears to be an unremarkable high school student until an unexpected turn of events thrusts him into the vanguard of a supernatural war. Armed with a formidable combat exoskeleton known as Yoroi, he is recruited into an elite task force dedicated to battling monstrous entities called Oni and shielding humanity from otherworldly dangers. This newly formed unit carries a singular, critical mission: safeguarding Oka Myojin, a shrine maiden destined by prophecy to preserve the world. To fulfill her role as humanity's savior, Oka must complete a sacred ritual within Shikizakura, a mystical horizon that bridges the physical realm and the spiritual plane. This ethereal boundary exists hidden among landscapes where blooming cherry blossoms merge seamlessly with vibrant autumn foliage. However, reaching this convergence point is far from simple. The path toward fulfilling her destiny proves to be a grueling, treacherous journey fraught with peril. As Kakeru and his comrades escort the shrine maiden through escalating threats, they discover that securing the fate of the world demands relentless sacrifice against forces determined to stop them.
