if: Tokei Monogatari

After being abruptly laid off from his job, a man stumbles upon an extraordinary pocket watch. When opened, this peculiar timepiece grants him the ability to rewind time by up to one hour. Armed with this newfound power, he begins to exploit it without restraint, navigating a morally bankrupt path where he commits acts ranging from sexual assault to heroic interventions, using the watch to erase any consequences and escape accountability for his actions. His reckless existence continues unchecked until a chance encounter with a young, starving girl disrupts his routine. As their paths intertwine, her presence introduces an unexpected emotional weight into his otherwise consequence-free life. Through his interactions with her, the protagonist finds himself confronting the reality of his choices, and his deeply flawed worldview begins to slowly unravel. What starts as a story of unchecked power and moral decay gradually shifts, forcing the man to question the true cost of his abilities and the direction his life has taken.
