In the year 2060, escalating supernatural threats force the Organization of Emergency Affairs to recruit elite special agents from across the globe, establishing a dedicated task force known as the Bureau of Paranormal Defense. From this exceptional roster, the Bureau handpicks its most capable operatives to form an unparalleled strike team: the Phantom Squad. Under the leadership of Captain Hao Yuan, the squad is tasked with handling the world’s most dangerous paranormal crises. Three years prior to the present events, the Phantom Squad undertakes a critical mission to recover a powerful artifact. However, Captain Hao Yuan places his trust in the wrong hands, leading his team directly into a devastating ambush orchestrated by Darrick and his rival squad. The resulting slaughter claims the lives of nearly every Phantom Squad member. In the chaos, Darrick sabotages Hao Yuan, sending the captain plummeting over the edge of a cliff. Yet, rather than meeting his end, Hao Yuan inadvertently absorbs the very treasure they were sent to retrieve—the legendary Stone of Immortality—altering his fate forever.
