Earl and Fairy: The Secret Behind Your Tears

Fairy doctor Lydia Carlton has retreated to her childhood home in Scotland under the guise of enjoying an extended Christmas holiday. In truth, she is fleeing the growing emotional pull of Edgar Ashenbert, the Earl of Ibrazel—her employer and prospective fiancé. Fearing that she might genuinely fall in love with him, Lydia seeks distance and clarity away from his aristocratic world. However, her quiet escape is short-lived. The history surrounding Edgar’s noble title is steeped in complexity, and when a cryptic rumor regarding the earl’s ancestor reaches her ears, Lydia’s curiosity compels her into action. She sets off for the Isle of Mannan to uncover the truth hidden within the family’s past, trading her intended rest for another supernatural investigation. Meanwhile, back in London, unexpected complications arise for Paul, Edgar’s trusted artist friend. A peculiar young girl suddenly appears before him, and it quickly becomes apparent that she is far from an ordinary human. As Lydia delves deeper into ancient secrets and Paul confronts this otherworldly visitor, the threads of fairy lore and human emotion begin to intertwine once more, drawing everyone closer to revelations they never anticipated.
