ODDTAXI

Odokawa is a quiet, solitary taxi driver who leads an unremarkable existence. With no family and little interest in socializing, he keeps to himself, interacting only with his physician, Gouriki, and his former high school classmate, Kakihana, whom he considers his sole friends. Yet the passengers who step into his cab are anything but ordinary, each carrying their own peculiarities and hidden motives. His daily fares introduce him to a colorful cast of individuals: Kabasawa, a college student desperate for online fame; Shirakawa, a nurse harboring undisclosed secrets; the Homosapiens, a struggling comedy duo unable to achieve success; Dobu, a local gangster; and Mystery Kiss, a fledgling idol group trying to make its mark. Through seemingly trivial exchanges during late-night drives, Odokawa becomes inadvertently entangled in the lives of these eccentric strangers. What begins as a series of mundane conversations gradually weaves together into something far more consequential. The disparate threads connecting his unusual passengers slowly converge, ultimately drawing the reclusive driver into a larger mystery surrounding the sudden disappearance of a young girl.
