Winning Pass

Shori Ichinose is the picture of perfection: brilliant, widely admired, and a natural prodigy on the basketball court. For his younger brother Haruto, living in Shori’s towering shadow is an everyday reality. Outwardly, Haruto insists that he despises basketball entirely, distancing himself from the sport that defines his older sibling. Yet behind closed doors, he dedicates himself to relentless solitary training, quietly nurturing a fierce desire to finally challenge Shori as an equal. Every time Haruto gathers the courage to test his skills against his brother, he is met with crushing defeat. Despite these repeated setbacks, Shori never dismisses him. Instead, the older brother remains Haruto’s most steadfast believer, holding an unwavering conviction in Haruto's latent talent that surpasses anyone else's expectations. This dynamic creates a profound tension between the two siblings—one fueled by hidden effort and frustration, the other by quiet faith. As Haruto continues to struggle against the seemingly insurmountable gap between them, the true extent of his abilities remains shrouded in mystery, leaving those around him to wonder what he might ultimately be capable of achieving.
