Scar on the Praeter

Following a violent uprising within Tokyo's Akatsuki Special Ward, the established government falls apart entirely. In the sudden absence of authority, ordinary citizens are abandoned and forced to survive on their own in a fractured society. Amid this chaos, a new breed of enforcers emerges to restore order. Known as the Scard, these agents wield Divine Tattoos—mystical markings that grant each bearer distinct and formidable supernatural abilities. Stepping into the void left by the collapsed state, they take it upon themselves to act as the guardians of peace in a lawless district. However, the path to stability is far from unified. The Scard owe their allegiances to three separate and fiercely rival organizations, each driven by its own interpretation of what constitutes justice. Bound by these competing loyalties, the tattooed agents find themselves navigating a treacherous landscape where maintaining order requires more than simply apprehending common criminals. To uphold their respective factions' ideals, the Scard must confront not only the lawlessness plaguing the streets but also one another, turning the struggle for peace into a complex battle between conflicting definitions of righteousness.
