Tounen-bun no Watashi e

Tounen-bun no Watashi e is an animated concept film produced by FLAT STUDIO on behalf of the All Nippon Esthetic Association. The story centers on the evolving friendship between two young women, Saki and Umi, each pursuing distinct professional ambitions. Saki is dedicated to becoming a skilled esthetician, while Umi aspires to build a career as a model. As they navigate their respective paths, their bond becomes the emotional core of the narrative, illustrating how personal connections shape individual growth. Through their shared experiences, the film explores a profound thematic message about the quiet power of human closeness. By remaining near someone and offering genuine support, a person can gradually inspire meaningful change in another's life. This subtle, ongoing influence between Saki and Umi serves as a metaphor for broader transformation, suggesting that intimate acts of care and companionship ripple outward over time. Ultimately, the story conveys that nurturing those around you does not merely alter a single destiny but holds the potential to reshape the world itself, one small step at a time.
