Fudanshi Shoukan: Isekai de Shinjuu ni Hameraremashita Mini Anime

Produced to commemorate the release of the second volume of its source BL manga, this short anime follows Kotone, a devoted fudanshi whose life takes an unexpected turn. While purchasing his favorite boys' love manga at a roadside stand, he is suddenly struck and killed by an out-of-control truck, leaving him buried beneath his beloved books. However, death is not the end. Kotone awakens to find himself transported to another world, standing inside an ancient palace reminiscent of classical Asian architecture. There, he encounters Nagi, a mysterious half-serpent man who declares that Kotone has been summoned to serve as his Miko. According to Nagi, the two must engage in sexual relations so that he can ascend from his current form and evolve into a higher being—a true dragon. As an avid consumer of BL media, Kotone immediately recognizes the tropes unfolding around him and realizes with horror that he is destined to take the submissive role in this arrangement. Armed with extensive knowledge of boys' love narratives, he resolves to use his expertise to avoid falling in love and escape his fate as the bottom in this strange new isekai world.
