Li Shi

According to ancient legend, a Huangli Shi is a rare type of Fangshi—a mystical practitioner endowed with the extraordinary ability to manipulate the very forces governing seasonal solstices, solar terms, and traditional festivals. Beyond altering these cosmic rhythms, such an individual possesses the power to divine the fortune of any given day, shaping destiny itself through esoteric knowledge. Xiao Nanzhu is an unemployed young man who never intended to shoulder this immense responsibility. However, after receiving unexpected inspiration from a childhood friend, he makes the fateful decision to take up his family’s ancestral calling. This peculiar profession has been passed down through his bloodline for generations, waiting for him to finally embrace it. Now thrust into a world of supernatural duties and unpredictable phenomena, Xiao Nanzhu finds himself entirely unprepared for the reality of his inherited role. Rather than feeling empowered by his newfound mystical heritage, the overwhelming nature of the task leaves him utterly bewildered. Faced with circumstances far beyond his control, his only immediate desire is to dial 110 and call the police for help.
