Belles Ruelles

Belles Ruelles, translating to "beautiful alleys," is a distinctive anthology of comics and illustrations crafted by eleven emerging artists. Together, these up-and-coming creators have collaborated to build an intricate fictional world from the ground up. Each contributor brings their own artistic vision to the project, meticulously designing unique shops, hidden establishments, and atmospheric passageways that interlock to form a cohesive and imaginative urban landscape. The shared setting they have constructed is a town named Euphemia, defined by its evocative and poetic purpose: it is a place that "sells stories and memories." Within this singular municipality, every illustrated alleyway holds its own secrets and charm, inviting readers to wander through a richly detailed environment where commerce and nostalgia intertwine. Rather than following a traditional linear narrative, the collection allows each artist to expand upon the town's lore, populating Euphemia with diverse storefronts and quiet corners that reflect the distinct creative voices behind them. Through this collaborative effort, the anthology transforms a simple concept into a vibrant tapestry of visual storytelling. The result is a beautifully curated exploration of a fictional city where art and imagination converge, offering readers a seamless journey through the enchanting backstreets of a town built entirely on the exchange of cherished tales and forgotten moments.
