Future Folktales

Set in the bustling city of Riyadh in the year 2050, Future Folktales follows a devoted grandmother named Asma who embarks on an extraordinary journey with her beloved grandchildren. Eager to connect them with their roots, she guides them through a vivid exploration of the Arabian Peninsula’s rich heritage and history. Rather than relying solely on textbooks, Asma brings the past to life by retelling the region’s most cherished folktales, transforming each story into a captivating adventure that bridges the gap between ancient traditions and their futuristic world. Accompanying the family on this whirlwind voyage is Anis, their remarkable robotic cat, who adds a unique dynamic to their travels. As the children immerse themselves in these timeless narratives, they begin to recognize striking parallels between the legendary heroes of old and the modern-day dilemmas they face in their own lives. Through Asma’s fascinating storytelling, they discover that the challenges of tomorrow are no match for the enduring words of wisdom passed down from generation to generation. Ultimately, these shared tales become more than mere entertainment; they serve as a guiding light, proving that ancestral knowledge remains profoundly relevant even in a highly advanced era.
