Sakura Wars the Animation

In 1930, two years after the events of So Long, My Love, a devastating conflict known as the Great Demon War leads to the complete destruction of the Flower Divisions within the Imperial, Paris, and New York Combat Revues. As global peace is restored and the revues' heroic efforts become public knowledge, the World Combat Revue Organization is established, uniting multiple international divisions under one banner. To celebrate this new era, a biennial tournament is created to test the skills of combat troupes from around the world. By 1940, Imperial Japanese Navy Captain Seijuurou Kamiyama is appointed to lead a newly reformed Flower Division of the Imperial Combat Revue in Tokyo. His diverse team includes Amamiya Sakura, a skilled swordswoman and fresh recruit; Hatsuho Shinonome, a shrine maiden who doubles as the troupe's most celebrated actress; Anastasia Palma, a recently transferred Greek performer; Azami Mochizuki, a prodigious ninja from the Mochizuki clan; and Clarissa "Clarise" Snowflake, a noblewoman hailing from Luxembourg. Together, this revitalized division must confront an emerging demonic invasion while simultaneously preparing for the upcoming international tournament. Amid these mounting threats, they remain fiercely dedicated to preserving their beloved home stage at the Imperial Theater.
