Sekaiichi Hatsukoi: Propose-hen

Frustrated by persistent rumors that his career was built entirely on family connections, Ritsu Onodera resigns from his editorial position at his father’s company in search of a genuine fresh start. He secures a role at Marukawa Publishing, only to find himself assigned to the shojo manga department—a division he has neither experience in nor any desire to join. Having sworn off romance after a painful past heartbreak, the prospect of dedicating his professional life to crafting love stories feels like an especially cruel twist of fate. Ritsu’s determination to leave his emotional history behind is severely tested when he discovers the identity of his demanding new superior. Masamune Takano, his overbearing boss, is none other than his first love from high school. While Ritsu is desperate to bury those old feelings and maintain strict professional boundaries, Takano harbors entirely different intentions. Refusing to let their shared history remain in the past, Takano is fiercely determined to prove that they still have a future together. Caught between his hard-won independence and the relentless pursuit of the one man he never truly forgot, Ritsu must navigate a workplace where personal history and professional ambition constantly collide.
