Saikyou no Madoshi. Hisa ni Ya wo Ukete Shimatta no de Inaka no Eihei ni Naru

In the kingdom, the strongest wizard Alfred has earned a legendary reputation for his unparalleled magical prowess. However, this hero's fame came at a great cost, as he suffered a grievous injury to his knee while subduing the Maou. Despite this debilitating wound, Alfred's magical abilities remain unmatched. As a result, he is constantly bombarded with requests for assistance, which he can barely fulfill. Frustrated by the relentless demands, Alfred yearns for a respite from his heroic duties and seeks a secluded haven where he can recover and rejuvenate. His quest for a peaceful refuge leads him to a small, rural village, Mulg, which is plagued by wolf and boar attacks. The village, in dire need of a guardian, posts an ad seeking a reliable protector who can provide a sense of security to its residents. The job offer is modest, consisting of food and lodging, but the village's hot spring and serene atmosphere make it an attractive destination for Alfred. He decides to take a chance and relocate to Mulg, hoping to leave behind the pressures of his heroic life. As he accepts the village's offer, Alfred embarks on a new journey, one that will allow him to live a tranquil life, free from the expectations of his former role.
