Toukyou Cannabis Tokku: Taimaou to Yobareta Otoko

Morio Sendou is a forty-two-year-old flower shop owner whose once-steady livelihood has begun to crumble. Despite living with his devoted wife and their high-school-aged daughter, the family struggles daily to make ends meet as business steadily declines. The financial strain has grown so heavy that his wife has been forced to take on part-time work just to keep them afloat. Hoping to lift his spirits and offer him a brief respite from his mounting anxieties, she encourages Morio to attend his upcoming university reunion. Reluctantly stepping out of his routine, Morio arrives at the gathering only to cross paths with Kagayama, the man who was once his closest friend. Reunited for the first time in many years, the two fall into nostalgic conversation, reminiscing about their carefree days as students. However, the warmth of their shared memories soon gives way to an unexpected turn when Kagayama introduces a peculiar proposition. Rather than merely catching up, his former best friend suggests a certain job opportunity—one that threatens to pull the struggling florist far beyond the familiar boundaries of his quiet, desperate life.
