How So You Repay the Favor

Deep within the untamed wilderness of a remote mountain range, Albi lives a quiet and solitary life as a gatherer of wild herbs. His days are spent navigating the dense forests and rugged terrain in search of rare plants, far removed from the complexities of human society. However, his peaceful routine is abruptly disrupted when he stumbles upon a supernatural being—a spirit ensnared in a hunter’s trap hidden among the trees. Moved by the creature's plight, Albi frees the trapped spirit from its confinement. Grateful for this unexpected rescue, the mystical entity offers to grant him a single wish as a token of repayment. Rather than asking for wealth, power, or an easier life, Albi makes a startlingly bold declaration that catches the spirit entirely off guard. Driven by an intense and singular curiosity, Albi states that his only desire is to intimately understand the physical differences between a spirit's body and that of a human. This unconventional request sets the stage for a deeply unusual encounter in the heart of the mountains, transforming a simple act of mercy into the beginning of an extraordinary exploration between a humble herb gatherer and a powerful otherworldly being.
