Akuryou Series

The story follows Kazuya Shibuya, the young president of the Shibuya Psychic Research Center (SPR), and Mai Taniyama, a first-year high school student whose life takes an unexpected turn. It begins when Mai and her friends are sharing ghost stories, only to be interrupted by a mysterious male student and a classmate who warns them that such tales attract spirits. Intrigued by the rumors surrounding an old building on campus, Mai wanders inside and nearly touches a camera left in one of the rooms. A man abruptly stops her, injuring himself in the process. As compensation, Mai is forced to serve as a stand-in assistant for the injured man, who works under the enigmatic student she met earlier. This student, whom Mai nicknames "Naru" due to his seemingly narcissistic demeanor, has been hired to investigate the paranormal occurrences plaguing the school. He is the owner of SPR, a professional paranormal investigation company. After helping resolve this initial case, Mai earns a part-time position at the agency. As she grows closer to Naru and becomes more deeply involved in their supernatural investigations, she begins to uncover hidden truths about herself and her developing feelings for him. Alongside Shibuya’s stoic assistant, Lin, the SPR team frequently collaborates with various spirit mediums and exorcists to confront the unexplained phenomena they encounter.
