Ningen Maid Robot Meruru

Set in the near future, society has embraced a remarkable technological leap: the widespread integration of maid robots into everyday life. These advanced companions handle domestic duties with mechanical precision, becoming a common fixture in modern households. Among the countless individuals relying on this automated assistance is Yashiro, an overworked salaryman grinding through exhausting days at a notoriously exploitative corporation. Like many others, he returns home to the care of his own personal maid robot, a unit named Meruru, who manages his daily needs while he navigates the relentless demands of his grueling career. However, beneath the surface of this seemingly ordinary domestic arrangement lies a hidden truth that threatens to upend everything Yashiro believes about his quiet life. Meruru harbors a dangerous secret, one so significant and perilous that her owner remains entirely oblivious to its existence. As Yashiro continues his draining routine as a corporate wage earner, completely unaware of the reality hiding within his own home, the mystery surrounding his robotic maid casts a long, unsettling shadow over their shared life. What exactly Meruru conceals remains unknown, but the implications promise to challenge the boundaries between human reliance and artificial creation in ways no one could anticipate.
