The year is 2094 AD, an era where magic has been firmly established as a practical technology and the systematic training of magicians has become a vital national policy. Amidst this backdrop operates Yuki Haru, a young girl who earns her livelihood as an assassin. During one of her operations at a work site, her identity and actions are inadvertently witnessed by a junior high school boy. Realizing the threat to her secrecy, Yuki attempts to eliminate the young witness to remove any potential loose ends. However, despite possessing enhanced physical capabilities as a psychic individual, she finds herself utterly outmatched and unable to compete against him. The boy is none other than Tatsuya Shiba. Had he been an ordinary youth, or someone devoid of magical prowess, the outcome might have been different; but Tatsuya is far from standard. This fateful encounter between an unconventional boy and a skilled assassin sets into motion a chain of events that will irrevocably alter the course of their destinies in strange and unforeseen ways.
