The Path to Vengeance

Cha Chan-ok is a man in his forties who built his life on a simple, generous philosophy: that shared happiness multiplies while shared sorrow diminishes. Always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need, his unwavering kindness ultimately becomes his greatest vulnerability. Following the death of his father, everything he once possessed is ruthlessly stripped away—his wealth, influence, social standing, friends, and even his own family turn their backs on him. Yet, his lifelong compassion does not yield only ruin. Years earlier, Chan-ok rescued a young girl named Jae-hee. When a devastating trauma leaves him hospitalized and utterly broken, she emerges as the sole person willing to stand by his side. Together, they set out to reclaim what was stolen from him, though the road to retribution proves far more treacherous than he ever anticipated. As Chan-ok navigates this dangerous path, he finds himself entangled in a ruthless game defined by romance, desire, betrayal, and blackmail, where every move could cost him everything he has left.
