Miyakawa-ke no Kuufuku

Hikage Miyakawa is a young girl navigating the quiet, persistent struggles of everyday life alongside her older sister, Hinata. Though they share a modest home, their daily routine is far from ordinary, defined not by grand adventures but by the constant, pressing challenge of simply putting food on the table. For Hikage, each day brings a new test of endurance as she tries to manage their household reality with maturity beyond her years. The root of their hardship lies entirely in Hinata’s deeply ingrained habits. Driven by an uncontrollable otaku obsession, the older sister habitually spends whatever money they have on anime merchandise and collectibles, acting purely on impulsive desires without considering the consequences. Her relentless shopping sprees drain their already limited finances, leaving the household coffers perpetually bare. As a direct result of Hinata’s unchecked spending, both sisters find themselves locked in a recurring battle against hunger. Rather than enjoying regular, nutritious meals, Hikage and Hinata must constantly scramble just to find something decent to eat. This lighthearted yet poignant domestic comedy follows the Miyakawa sisters through their daily misadventures, illustrating how one sibling's passionate hobby forces them both into a continuous struggle for basic sustenance.
