After School Lessons for Unripe Apples

Mi-Ae is an ordinary middle school student whose daily life revolves around the simple pleasures of adolescence. Between navigating the usual demands of her classes, she finds comfort in reading comics, belting out songs at karaoke, and obsessing over her favorite pop group, The Fire Boys. For the most part, her routine is predictable and comfortable, allowing her to coast through her school days without much complication. However, her peaceful existence is abruptly disrupted when a boy from her past unexpectedly transfers into her school. Rather than offering a pleasant reunion, his arrival immediately stirs up trouble and throws her carefully maintained world off balance. Determined to bridge the gap between them, Mi-Ae makes genuine efforts to reconnect and get to know him better, hoping to smooth over whatever tension has followed him through the doors. Despite her best intentions, her attempts are met with consistent indifference. No matter what approach she takes or how hard she tries to reach out, he remains entirely unappreciative of her gestures. Left bewildered by his cold reception and frustrated by his refusal to acknowledge her efforts, Mi-Ae is forced to navigate this baffling new dynamic while trying to figure out exactly what his problem is.
