The Fox's Favorite

Koyomi has endured a life marked by profound loss and relentless hardship. Following the passing of his parents, he has been left to navigate the world alone, burdened by an exhausting job that drains whatever little energy he has left. Day after day, he drifts through his routine with quiet apathy, entirely devoid of hope for a brighter future or any meaningful change in his circumstances. Seeking to lift his spirits, his friends invite him to visit a local shrine celebrated for its matchmaking blessings. With nothing left to lose, Koyomi offers a simple, heartfelt prayer: he wishes for someone waiting for him at home, a companion with whom he can share meals and find comfort in everyday life. He returns to his apartment that night still thinking about this modest desire, never expecting it to actually be heard. However, his ordinary evening is suddenly interrupted by an extraordinary visitor. A stunningly beautiful fox appears before him, possessing the miraculous ability to grant his deepest wishes. What follows is the beginning of a warm and joyful cohabitation, as the weary office worker and the gorgeous, endearing fox embark on a loving life together.
