Cartagra: Tsuki Gurui no Yamai

Shugo Takashiro is a former police officer who now drifts through life without employment, spending his days freeloading at a local brothel. Despite his aimless existence, he occasionally accepts private detective work handed down by his old superior. When the story begins, Shugo is suddenly burdened with a missing persons case. His target is Yura Kohzuki, a woman with whom he once shared an intimate relationship before being sent off to war. Finding her becomes his sole objective, forcing him to confront a past he left behind on the battlefield. However, Shugo’s search unfolds against a grim backdrop. A string of brutal murders plagues the city, casting a dark shadow over his investigation. Initially content to remain detached from the violence, he soon realizes that the killings are creeping dangerously close to his own life. As the victims strike nearer to home, ignoring the bloodshed is no longer an option. Reluctantly but inevitably, Shugo is pulled into a spiraling web of tragedy and mystery, where his personal quest to find Yura collides with a far more sinister reality.
